Barclay House was built in 1904, and reopened its door April 2006 as a premier bed and breakfast destination. Totally refurbished and updated, this beautiful home mixes contemporary elegance in an old world setting. Each space is unique from the architecture of a bygone era to the eclectic mix of international and local designers.
 
Enjoy Daily newspapers or our collection of books and magazines in the comfort of our lounge. Knoll leather sofa, Naguchi table, cowhide bench, all live harmoniously in this amazing space.
 
Breakfast is served in our common dining area in the comfort of a custom rustic table, paired with Phillip Starck Ghost chairs, ‘Sarah’ velvet chairs, fresh flowers and a fabulous hot breakfast every morning – this is a popular conversation area.
 
Old meets new in the design of the bistro tables in the games room. Breakfast for two or three are often served at these tables that then convert to games tables in the afternoon. Challenge your traveling companion or another guest to a friendly game of chess or checkers, add a piece to help finish the puzzle on the sideboard, sit and write a postcard.
