Barclay House - what will we remember? Among many small delights was the way the shower is constructed so that I can adjust the water flow, hot and cold, with my toe! It was akin to stepping into the pages of Architectural Digest when we first entered "our" room. The case of grey, white, and seasonal colored carpeting is so restful and the table lamps with their modern play on traditional form is/are a good finish. How nice to have original gallery worthy decorating the 1st floor rooms. As for the food, gourmet comes to mind. The staff was bright and cheerful, enlightened and informative.. Vancouver is a favorite city for us and God smiled on us to send us to Barclay House Bed and Breakfast in Vancouver. Will share it via "word of mouth" to others. - J Hast & M Lax

How do you start planning a trip all the way from Netherlands to Vancouver? We searched the internet and found this place, which looked nice on the pictures. So we called, talked to JJ and made our reservation. On arrival, The Barclay House surpassed our expectations. It wasn't just a nice place, it was stunningly beautiful. Someone with great taste had done a marvelous job decorating the room (Haidaway) and all the staff went over board to make us feel so very welcome.
